A day in the life of 18

Hello, and welcome to my homepage. Soon, you'll enter into the mystical world of an 18 yr-old Singapore boy. Perhaps in this homepage I can explain why am I so influenced by Jon BonJovi's lyrics, the explaintion of my poetry and what do I think of life in general. I'm currently a student in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, pursuing a Diploma in Mass Communications. I'm a leftie, just like the great Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Paul MaCartney and so on...I play the guitar with my music based on slow-rock and ballad numbers. I'm also a huge soccer fanatic, supporting Manchester United. Just like everybody else, I have a soft side of me that will reveal the skeletons in my closet. I've probably have as much enemies as I have friends but that doesn't matter.....cos what we need is Keep The Faith.

Bonjovi: Blame it on the love of Rock n' Roll
When I started listenin' to music, it was rap; white-boy rap. I sort of liked Vanilla Ice then. That's perhaps why I pay lots of attention to the lyrics of songs, rather than their musical arrangments. When I grew outta it, I was brought into the world of rock n' roll and found myself belongin' to slow-rock and ballads. When I heard Bonjovi's Bed Of Roses, I was completely charmed by the lyrics and Bonjovi became my favourite band and source of inspiration. Many slow-rock songs actually made me shed a tear when I heard it. "Every Rose Has It's Thorns" - Poison, "November Rain" - G N'R and many of Bonjovi's songs made me sit down and ponder at their lyrics. The sight of grown-ups gettin' down on their knees, smashin' their guitars, cryin' all made me discover the heart-breaks and sorrows they went thru that made them pen those feelings into songs. In case you wanna know, I'm anti-boyband. Boybands can't sing, can't dance, can't play no music instruments. They only know how to look pretty and sing cover songs. The only reason why I sign off as NKOTB is because of the slang "New Kid On The Block"(which in my case is 'Norbert Koh On The Block'). It ain't have nothin' to do wif the mother of all boybands - The New Kids On the Block.

Politically Correct
I guess the Internet is the only form of media tool that allows me to air my grouses concernin' the political affairs of the state and the world. I'm extremely unhappy about the corruption comin' from the countries that surround Singapore. I shall not put any current event topics here as it would need constant updatin'. Whatever it is, I hope Singapore would be more liberal and allow more of the practice of Freedom of Speech. Well, after all I'm just an 18 yr-old boy who hasn't fought a war and will never understand the hardship of my grandparents and those who died in the name of politics.
